  1. Very interesting info! I tried to breastfeed with both of my babies, and was only able to pump for about 6 weeks and didn't get enough milk to fully feed them with, but felt good that I atleast supplemented as much as I could. I felt a lot of guilt with this with my first child because I felt a lot of pressure to do it. Thankfully by the time my second one came and was in the exact same situation again, I was okay with doing what I could, and knowing that supplementing with a quality formula was okay too!! It is interesting to see how these trends vary from country to country as well as from decade to decade even in our own country!

  2. Thank you for sharing all of this information. I have not been pregnant either so do not have a first hand understanding of this topic. Breastfeeding can be really powerful but also really stressful for moms. I had never thought of it as cost-effective either!
